Welcome - Take Your Shoes Off - Why a Blog

Greetings Everyone,

Our goal is to educate you and hope you learn something about network marketing that can help your business.

We like to think we put real marketing behind network marketing, because most people don't and this maketing can provide you a real edge. And often make the difference between failure and success.

Let me give you a little bit of background about myself. I've been in network marketing for over 12 years. I've made a fulltime income for 10 of those years. I came originally from the corporate world where I spent almost 20 years.

I've also spent 12 years involved in numerous facets of internet marketing so I'm well versed in that area also.

So what tips would I give you based on all this experience. Well first I believe if it's not the most important thing in network marketing it ranks right up there. That thing is building relationships. Good relationships are the life blood of this business. Of course building relationships alone is not the only key to success, if people perceive you as a buffoon you're in trouble.

I believe the best way to have success is by learning how to attract people. If you're able to attract people you will most definitely have some level of success.

There are two ways to attract good people to you:

One is through the power of your personality.
The other is through the power of your tools and systems.

I don't want to bust anyone's bubble here but it doesn't matter, which of any of the fine companies you are in. If you want to have success you must have a strong personality or some powerful leverage tools working for you, that a person must feel they have to come to you or a member of your organization or have access to.

The company itself and it doesn't matter what company doesn't have enough pull. And think of it like this if the company had pull why should someone join with you and not just another person in the company?

That is why I feel a responisbility to my people to give them a real edge with tools like this so people are attracted to them.

I would highly recommend you create a blog like this. You can for free using either Blogger or Wordpress. Simply do a search for either of them in Google.

Now here is why you want a blog like this. I'll get more into the marketing stratagies and what each of them do for you.

Blogs build a community of like-minded people.
Blogs create social proof.
Blogs can be used to create scarcity.
Blogs are great for building events.
Blogs are natural places to tell stories.
Blogs are great for commitment.
Blogs build anticipation.
Blogs create interaction.
Blogs give you a place to tell a reason why.
Blogs give you authority.
Blogs can create controversy and to be interesting.

We're get into more of the stratagies of why these above things work in future posts although we'll touch on a couple of them here.

Social proof - what is this. Social proof is like if you're selling a cosmetic product and you have testimonials from a number of woman about how young their skin looks or the great complements they got from their husbands. The blog is a great way to have these ladies comment with their testimonials.

Here's an Excellent Video Example of Social Proof - Click Here! (Note: This will typically play in Windows Media Player)

Building a Community - What is a community and why is it so important to your business? Well a community in this case is simply your customers and downline. One of the biggest problems we face in network marketing is getting reorders and even increasing the numbers of reorders. By getting your people coming to the blog and leaving comments and interacting they will feel like part of the community. This will not only get these people reordering more often but also make them much less likely to quit.

Main marketing take-aways from this email.

Right off the bat we are trying to establish authority and credibility. Why should someone listen to this author? Why should they believe him?

These questions become answered by providing specific tips and information which establishes this author as an authority.

Next is in the concept of Social Proof- this basically revolves around providing proof that your product really performs its desired function.

I'm going to in an upcoming post expound more on social proof.

The concept of Community is basically covered above.
